TESTING - SOFTWARE PROCESS

- Method of developing software.

- The process that deals with the technical and management issues of software development is called software process.

Processes, Projects, Products:

- Process specifies a method of developing software.

- Project is a development project in which software process is used.

- Product is the outcome of a software project.

- Each project starts with some needs and hopefully ends with a software that satisfies those needs.

- Software process specifies the abstract set of activities that should be performed to go from user needs to final product.

Testing in Software Development Process:

- A key component of software development process.

- A cycle comprises of following four components.

· Plan (P)

· Do (D)

· Check (C)

· Action (A)

Tester’s Workbench:

- The objective of the workbench is to produce the defined output products in a defect-free manner.
